Downgrade firmware?

Post by mobi »

Hello,

Currently our company is using a bunch of sub-20 devices with firmware version 2.2. We'd like to upgrade them to the newer version 2.8 but are worried of stability issue. Is it possible to downgrade the sub-20 back to 2.2 after we upgraded them to 2.8? If so, can you provide the 2.2 firmware for us? We're using more than 20 of your sub-20 devices and may order more. It'd be great if you can help us. Thank you.

HI,
You can always go back to older version.
If required we will provide you 0.2.2 FW image.
Try to update one unit and check it.

Thanks for your quick response. I have already tried 2.8 on a couple of our sub-20 devices. They so far work fine. However, we'd really like to have the 2.2 firmware available as a backup. Can you email me the 2.2 firmware, please? My email is edmond.mo@maxim-ic.com.

Hi,
You are asking for something very very old. Can you please explain the reason?
We are always keeping backward compatibility. You should not have any problems with newer versions.
